Here we go..
Another American Veto, a controversial one.
And another meeting has been set for next month between bush and Sharon.

Once upon a time, I wrote a blog attacking the French new law concerning religious symbols… I was totally against the idea of banning Hijab.. it was not because of what I think about Hijab its self… it was because of the process and the theme of such a decision… I’ll quote myself here:

I find myself forced to criticize my secular tribe!! What the hell are you doing there??? This is not supposed to be OUR part of the game!
I lived in Saudi Arabia for four years, in a small city in the south called Abha. And there... the medieval-stupid-shallow-corrupted-government used to send religious men called “mtawwe” to insure all women will cover their bodies and look like black tents, I remember my mother – the sophisticated feminist engineer – putting that black thing on her, covering her head and face. These are the people whom WE (me and my secular group) must teach how to live and understand life…

It’s the classical (how_to_do_it) problem; I don’t see anything wrong with the slogans of the Bush administration, maybe that’s why I like to criticize them depending on what they say, not on what is imposed on their policies.
Ok...
War on terror is the first priority? I agree on that… I’m a secular Muslim that fought against terrorism and fundamentalism for all of my life...
Democracy and freedom? No one would say no :*)
It’s not about catch phrases I believe; it’s about how to implement your ideas…

The foreign policy of the American administration is the main reason for global terrorism… was that a sharp statement full of buzz-words? Maybe…

The American foreign policy is putting people like me, in a very weak position…
Why?
Because: in extreme circumstances, extreme ideologies rule and dominate.
And I am, unfortunately, not an extremist…
The global political environment is directly controlled by the United States government; it happenes that they are the super power… and they are the ones responsible of this extremely tense era we are all going through.

It is the right of everyone to wonder whether American foreign policy decision makers are doing the right thing or not.
Is it their right to protect their interests?
Yes! It is…
But if they’ll think of their interests vs. the rest of the world’s interests! Why give us the slogans of one world, one village, blah blah blah?
Just act like the Roman Empire, and occupy our countries :*)
Why am I wearing my jeans? Why did I have my lunch at Burger King today? Why does the voice of Avril Lavigne feel so familiar to me? Why do we all use the same Nokia and the same Compaq? And why do we all like the Mexican tequila?

Is it because these things are a part of the American world? Or is it because they are the details of OUR world?

I mean .. it’s a very simple thing to clarify… do you –Americans- want to rule the world? Or do you want to help us all build our civilization?

Do you really want to know how terrorism is having deeper and stronger roots?
Do you want to know how terrorism "justifies" and "rationalizes" its goals and methodologies?

Bomb more countries using your Depleted Uranium bullets... searching for their WMD…
Kill more civilians and destroy their culture… to defend their freedom rights
Assassinate more political leaders… and ask for political solutions…
and give the world more examples of how a great veto can protect killers…

Who are terrorists?
People like us: depressed and frustrated, those who have lost faith in the international law, being killed and injured in Palestine and Iraq and Lebanon…
Do you think the answer for such a problem is attacking them?
Do you really think the war on terrorism is a missiles and tanks war!
Lol
:*)
NO

Where is the difference between Bush and Bin Ladin? Both are extremists that can kill! Violent extremists.
Shouldn’t a president like Bush reflect the ideologies of a rational community, a community that is based on “civilized” citizens? A community that believes in the authority of law?
How do you treat a killer in New York? Kill him without a trial?
How do you treat a thief in Washington? Cut his hands?
Where did this ethics of violence and jungle-rules come from?

Is there a time when the American administration (the one with bigger tanks, faster fighters and the most powerful weapons of mass destruction) will understand the real war they are starting?

Dear robo-cops, IT IS THE WAR OF CULTURES.
Ping ping…
