Ask for the Iraqi Detainees Basic Rights

The detention and imprisonment system in Iraq needs a lot of work before it starts to function in a way that respects Human Rights and local laws. This campaign asks for three very simple and achievable points, and further campaigns will follow in case the goals of this one are achieved. This campaign aims to help detainees in Iraqi get the basic rights during the first three days of detention.
1-Detainees should have the right to inform their families about their location in the first 24 hours of being detained. The US and Iraqi authorities should allow the detainees to contact their families via phones once they're detained, and after charges are officially named against them. Detainees should be also informed by their legal rights as soon as they reach the holding center.
2-Detainees should have the right to appear in front of a judge within the first 48 hours of being detained. Any confessions and statments taken under torture or duress should not be concidered by the judge.
3-Detainees should have the right to a public defender, and the right to use the help of their own lawyer if they should so request.
