This hot taxi driver took me to NOLA's airport. She spent the last six months waiting for a trailer from FEMA. "I thought I'll come back home one day after the evacuation, no one told me it'll be this bad" she told me. She said that she got used to evacuations so much that she stopped taking them seriously. There are some tens of thousands of people like this lady waiting for someone to help them rebuild their lives.

Believe it or not, I was on 15 different airplanes in the last 14 days! I took this picture on my way back home from NOLA. How more Texan can I get with my hat and Texas home-style big Mac?

Did I mention that I was having my Mac at BUSH international airport?!
Did Bush daddy learn these games from Saddam or what?
Anyway.
I still feel jetlagged and tired, so I'll go take a long nap now.
If you wanted to help, and you should help, you can volunteer to go work in St. Bernard Parish by clicking here. Your help is much needed. The bush administration is doing nothing in that area, and the only way for helping people there is to do it ourselves.
If you can't go, at least subscribe to one of St. Bernard's local newspapers to know what's happening there, and try to buy some local goods from time to time to support the local community and help them rebuild their life. Subscribing to local newspapers is very cheap and won't cost more than 25 bucks for the next six months. It's a good way for supporting the local economy and media.
