The Iraqi executive branch, backed by the US occupation authorities, described civil disobedience in Iraq today as “terrorism”. An Iraq government spokesperson said that individuals joining the nation-wide civil disobedience that was called for by Al-Sadr movement will not be tolerated, and that it falls under the counter-terrorism act #13, issued in 2005. The Iraqi Executive branch threatened to punish any governmental employees who don't show up during the next day.
When the US occupation forces and the Iraqi "governmental militias" (aka Iraqi army) make non-violent resistance impossible, this will make a violent revolution inevitable.
