It's bi-partisan! it's official now!
Now that the democratic leadership is planning to give the administration 172 billion dollars in funding the U.S.-led occupations in Iraq and Afghanistan, I think it is official that the occupation is now a bi-partisan project.
This new war supplement will be a good test to show the U.S. public who is anti-war, and who is just anti-Republican party.
I sent this message to pelosi's office today
The occupation is officially bi-partisan now. Democrats are as responsible for the massacres in Iraq and Afghanistan as are the republicans.
shame on you for funding the occupations in Iraq and Afghanistan.
shame the democratic leadership! send a note to Pelosi here!
The leadership of the democratic party will try to link the war funding to U.S. local needs by tying funding the occupation to a new economic stimulus package. They are taking the U.S. public and economy hostage to pass their war funds.
the MoveOns of the U.S. are of course silent. They "understand" that such a supplement is an important political maneuvering to win the next presidential elections.
Well, I don't "understand". I'm not ready to give the democratic party a free pass just because they are not republicans, and I don't think the democratic party candidates are planning to end the war anyway! so why sacrifice and wait for them?
if obama or clinton were really planning to end the occupation without leaving any permanent bases, I'd be the first advocate to support this new war funding bill to "get over with it" and avoid an inconvenient moment right before the elections, but they don't! both clinton and obama want to keep up to 75,000 troops in Iraq indefinitely.
the two ruling parties in DC are identical when it comes to Iraq or any foriegn policy issue, and the only way to change the corrupt and criminal U.S. foriegn policy is to end this broken 2-party system.
